The Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) was developed in partnership with the provinces and territories, national organizations. The course is 8 hours in length and includes a written and practical test. Topics covered with the CFSC include;
- The evolution of firearms, major parts, types and actions;
- basic firearms safety practices;
- ammunition;
- operating firearm actions;
- safe handling and carry procedures;
- firing techniques and procedures;
- care of non-restricted firearms;
- responsibilities of the firearms owner/user;
- and, safe storage, display, transportation and handling of non-restricted firearms.
The Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC) is required when the individual is interested in purchasing or possession any restricted firearms or ammunition. The course is 4 hours in length if taken in conjunction with the Non Restricted and 6 hours on its own. It includes a written and practical test Topic covered in the CRFSC;

- The class is 12-2 on Saturday and 8-12pm on Sunday
